The road to the world cup.

THE ROAD TO THE WORLD CUP!!

In Africa, on a hot sunny dry day in paradise, the meerkats were sleeping. Then they woke up to check on their special fruit. The fruit was pink with a green leaf on top. The special thing about this fruit was that the meerkats had been  waiting for 6 months  for the fruit to be ready and now it was.  But then a vulture suddenly appears.

One of the players from the vultures team grabbed the fruit off the big tall tree with his sharp claws and flew high in the sky.  This was the vultures rugby practice for the day. This was his  fitness practice but in the air. This was the fastest he had ever had to fly for his fitness.

The meerkats are sprinting after the vulture on the hot sandy ground. They catch up with the vulture and make a chain. One of the meerkats gives another meerkat a lift up so he can grab the leg of the vulture. They then hold each other’s legs and make a big chain right down to the ground. However,  the meerkats get taken up in the air by the vulture and the meerkats fall out of the sky. The vulture loses his grip of the fruit when the meerkats fall out of the sky. But the meerkats catch the fruit and pass it around because they don’t want the vulture to snatch it. This is the meerkats passing practice before the big game. The meerkats continue to fall to the ground quickly.

Then the vulture snatches the fruit before it hits the hot sandy ground. He looks back at the meerkats and he sees they have stopped chasing him and he turns around and opens his eyes and he hits the big bulky cliff  and gets squashed like a pancake.  He drops the fruit on to the ground.

The meerkats, who had landed safely,  grab the fruit and pass it to each other. The kicker for the meerkats takes the drop goal over the big wooden posts to win the world cup for the meerkats against the vultures and  he got the kick. The commentators yell “The  meerkats have won!!!!!!!!!!”

Camp Writing

Walking down the big hill following our instructor and my group  to the bottom. We had 9 people in my group. Were  wearing a wet suit with togs underneath and singlet then over top we had shorts on and a PFD and it stands for personal flotation and it is like a life jacket. device and a helmet. Feeling the breeze coming at my face. Walking across the slimy wet rocks felt amazing. The sea salt in my mouth when I jumped in tastes yuck . The barnacles were everywhere on the rocks and the barnacles also gave you good grip. The rocks were sharp. Jumping off the papa rock felt amazing and scary at the same time. We swam in a part of the water called the washing machine. It took you round and round the water.  Walking on the rocks there were mussels heaps of mussels but they were small mussels. The mussels felt hard and they all were stuck together. Putting mud on our face in the afternoon was fun because we got to put mud all over our face. You could hear waves crashing together. You could see heaps of cliffs and rocks and also some hills. You smelt sea salt the whole time and you smelt it the most when you jumped in. The island we were on was a medium size island. Heaps of people kept getting stuck in seaweed. Because there was sea weed everywhere. The instructor showed us these shark eggs that had  drifted into shore off the seaweed.

On the first week of the holidays I was working on the farm all week feeding calves and shifting stock and doing fences and all the farm stuff. On the second week of the holidays I went to my grandparents on Monday and went until Wednesday . We went to the pool on Monday and Wednesday. On Wednesday I saw Henry and we played basket ball with a few others and I don’t know who won but I keeped getting dunked on by Henry. Then for the rest of the week I just went on the farm. On Friday we weighed calves. That was my holiday.

Review of this term

This term we have had youth town. Youth town is a company that comes out to schools and plays games with schools. At the start at this term we played keyarakey and that was probably my favorite game we have played with them. Then at the end of the term we played Tchocukball and that was pretty fun to. In keyarakey u have to hit a barrow and thats how you get points. IN Tchouckball you have to it a next to get points.

Who is my hero.

MY famous hero is Dan carter because he is the best kicker ever. He is my hero because he is a first five and that is what position I play and I like him because he is good at all kinds of kicks He is also my hero because he does lots of line breaks and lots of good moves. I want to make it to the All blacks like him one day and be the All Blacks first five.

Friday when the year 7 and 8s were away

On Friday I had to go to my brothers class room 3. In room 3 we helped them with their work and I helped the with there poems and spelling and I went to the library with them. In the library I read a hunting magazine with some of the kids there room. Then in the afternoon we did painting with them and they made blossom trees. They made the blossom trees by using there hand arm as the trunk and use there fingers for the painting.

100WC week 48

My experience in lock down was fun because we live on a farm. In lock down I would quickly get up out of bed to do my homework so I could go out on the farm. In lock down we only had to do 2 hours of school work instead of 6 hours. The benefits of    Lock down. You got to go on the farm and we only had to do 2 hours of school work. The negatives were we couldn’t go anywhere and we couldn’t see our friends or go to their houses. But I loved lock down because it was fun in particular.

Playing hard -Angus

                                                   Playing hard

Driving to rugby on Friday night was nerve wracking because we were playing the town team. When we got to the Maheno rugby grounds  we saw the town team warming up ready for the game. So we quickly jumped on the field and  started warming up, talking about our game plan. The game started and  we knew we were going to play well. When we got on the field we were ready!!!!!

In the first 5 to 10 minutes we scored the opening try of  the game and it was me who scored that first try. Then I  tackled, passed, stepped, dummy passed, and went to the ground because I got tackled. We got another try in the first half and we were winning 14-0 at half time.

In the second half the town team scored first. Then we scored by passing the ball through the backs to get the ball out to the wing and the wing sprinted to the try line for a try. We converted all of our tries. After  that the ball was everywhere. We were yelling at each other to hold on to the ball. After we tried a cross kick, it worked but we couldn’t pick the ball up cleanly. Then the town team got the ball and they scored again. After that it was the last play  of the game and we kicked the ball and we were celebrating because we won! Yahoo.
